In my video works and video installations I enact cultural archetypes while drawing from literary and mythological sources or creating my own "personal myths". Using canonic and/or fictional symbols and images I attempt to evoke a dialogue between the universal and the personal, the archaic and the present. The images I usually choose for my works confirm contradictory poles that complement each other.
In my new recent series of video works, a central role is given to the animal,
together with a set design, masks and objects that I create and which form an integral part of a ritual, or its installation presentation. In some of these works – always narrative by nature - I use dancers and performers. In some video's I perform, as well as making the whole sound and the editing. My work aims at the mystery and the beyond, while touching upon existential experiences.
